When “Peaceful Protest” Fail, Kassam Succeeds

February 26th, 2008 · 0 Comments

I’ll be busy with work for the next week or so but I simply could not resist posting this.

Hamas had planned a MASSIVE “peaceful” protest in Gaza to protest Israel’s so-called “blockade” of the territory. However, Gazans, to my surprise, stayed home. The majority of people who showed were class-cutting university students, teens & children (Palestinians LOVE to bring their children to their “peaceful protests”). The plan was to form a human chain across all of Gaza, but this was not possible with the pathetic turnout.

What does Britney Spears & Hamas have in common?

Hamas ascribes to the same philosophy many troubled Hollywood types embrace – that is: all publicity is good publicity. Clinging to this mantra, Hamas fired several Kassam rockets into Israel as the protest fizzled. Unlike the failed protest, the rockets hit their mark. As a result an Israeli boy nearly lost his arm, will have to endure hours of therapy (mental & physical) & live with scars & disabilities.

For Hamas, all publicity is good publicity.

If they miss their mark, they can say it was a “warning shot”, or a sign of how “primitive our weapons are”

If they hit their mark, they were “driven to this insanity by the Israeli aggressor”, or “they meant it to be a warning shot”

If their human shields die then they cry “foul, Israel target civilians”

When their armed gunmen fall they count them as “yet another civilian casualty”…

In the upside down, inside world of Hamas, up is down, and down is left…
