Palestinian child abuse – indoctrination starts young and continues throughout their entire life. ”Shehade” aka Mass Murder/Suicide is espoused as the highest value, the ultimate achievement and honor in Gaza

Laith Marouf has again saturated Canadian airspace with half-truths, empty rheotric and outright lies. Speaking on CBC, the Palestine Solidary Member claimed that Israel’s current action has “nothing to do with Hamas rockets”… Maybe it’s a Jewish holiday then? Apparently 5000 rockets launched at civilian centers does not warrant a response.

Mr. Marouf repeatedly claimed on a televised CBC interview that Israel has waged genocide upon the Arabs. GENOCIDE? Are we using the same dictionary? Lets look at the facts: throughout all of the conflicts combined, Arabs have not lost 1% of 1% of 1% of their population… Reports show as many as 85% of casualties of this most recent action are members of Hamas. If this is considered “Genocide” I have to wonder what Mr. Marouf would call the deaths of thousands more “Palestinian” Christians and/or factions considered undesirable by Hamas or the PA at the hands of their fellow Arabs (or is it only Jews that can wage genocide…)

If Israel was interested in genocide then it would have eliminated its “Arab problem” a VERY long time ago. If Israel was interested in genocide they would have marched to Amman, to Cairo and to Damascus during its earlier wars (they had eliminated these nations armies, their airforces were gone, their armoured corps crippled, Israel had just to drive into the capitals).

The claim of Genocide is laughable not only from a historical POV, but also from the perspective of todays events. If Israel was not at all interested in Arab casualties then why are they using expensive targetted munitions (they could use much cheaper and much larger past-era munitions), why are they putting their own people in harms way to target these buildings using laser designators, and WHY OH WHY OH WHY would they endanger one hair on one 18 year old soldiers chin by sending in ground troops?

Marouf also made the bankrupt argument that the so-called “occupation” is the reason for all of today’s events… OCCUPATION? But Gaza has never been an Arab country, and even if it was (in Marouf’s imagination) – it has been 1000% JEW FREE for several years! What occupation?

Marouf stated that the residents of Gaza previously inhabited southern Israel and that in 1967 Israel annexed these areas and forced the people into Gaza. Of all of his comments this one is the most original – it is easily the most historically bankrupt, unsupportable position I’ve heard all day (and I’ve been watching Al Jazeera so that ain’t small potatoes!).

Israel has never had a policy of annexing the Arab population, anyone who states otherwise must explain away over 1,000,000 inhabitants of modern Israel, over 25% of Israel’s population – the Israeli Arabs. Those Arabs that chose to stay within Israel (despite Arab leaders orders to leave) or came back shortly after any of its wars were allowed back. More than just welcomed back to their homes, they were given the benefit of full Israeli citizenship with all rights & freedoms afforded to Jewish Israelis. These Arabs are the freest, healthiest Arabs in the Middle East. They vote in Israeli elections, sit in Israeli Parliament, preside over Israeli courts (even the Supreme Court has an Israeli Arab) and are the neighbours, teachers and friends of their Jewish brethren.

So how did Gaza get so densely populated? Where did these people come from? How come they are so radicalized? The answer to that is not so simple. We must go back to 1948, when Egypt illegally entered and took over a swatch of no-man’s land after the Arab “Palestinians” rejected it (the area that is today Gaza). Egypt played a large part in radicalizing the population in the 50s and 60s, using them as a weapon against Israel. Later, the Egypt’s Islamic Brotherhood, a precursor to Hamas continued this indoctrination. Gaza is a swatch of land stuck in a time warp. It is a land stuck in the morality much of the world abandoned years ago. Family feud’s are handled through violence; gunmen of the ruling class (Hamas) control the streets, doing as they will; the entire population, even women and children, are mobilized for this all encompassing struggle between us and them (when Israeli jets circle Hamas leaders houses, the entire neighbourhood will go to the rooftops to act as human shields). Medievel morality and attitudes have been accompanied by Medievel birth rates – hence the crippling overpopulation. The result is a population wallowing in unimaginable misery while blaming mythical ‘outside forces’ for all of their woes.
